Mose Persico

Mose Persico is a veteran entertainment journalist, television host, and producer based in Montreal. Born in Sorrento, Italy, he immigrated to Canada with his family in 1965 and grew up in Montreal’s Mile End district. After graduating from Champlain College, he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Communications with a minor in Broadcast Journalism from Concordia University. Persico began his career at CFCF-TV (Channel 12), starting in the mailroom before working his way into on-air roles. Over the years, he became a familiar face on Montreal television as an entertainment reporter and celebrity interviewer, creating and hosting programs such as Teenage Life, Between the Sexes, Mose’s Kitchen, Entertainment Spotlight, and Mo…Food! - each blending lifestyle, pop culture, and local flair.
He has been a movie reviewer and entertainment correspondent for CTV Montreal for nearly four decades and is also a long-standing member of the Critics Choice Association. In addition to his television work, Persico hosts and produces Mose’s World, where he continues to highlight the stories of artists, chefs, and cultural figures. Beyond his media career, Mose is known for his warm personality and deep love of Montreal life. He lives in Westmount with his wife, Joanne, and their two Yorkshire Terriers, Pacino and De Niro - named after his favorite actors. An active and energetic spirit, he enjoys biking up Mount Royal, playing in a senior men’s soccer league, swimming, and lawn bowling. Guided by his motto - “Smile at strangers and embrace every single day like it’s your last one on earth” Mose Persico remains one of Montreal’s most recognizable and beloved media personalities.
